If the answer is YES, are you aware of your legal obligations under LOLER? |

When
was your hoist last inspected by a qualified engineer? |
||||
| Though designed for minimal maintenance, the SAFELOAD Stand incorporates a lifting device (hoist) which falls under the LIFTING OPERATIONS AND LIFTING EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS 1998 (LOLER). Under the regulations the owner/operator is required to undertake an annual inspection of the lifting gear. Gordon Low are pleased to recommend Stone Hardy Ltd, a company now familiar with the SAFELOAD roll stand and with a nationwide team of engineers. For an annual fee of just £75.00, a Stone Hardy qualified engineer will visit your site and carryout the statutory thorough examination required by law. Should any corrective action be required, you will be notified and a repair quote offered. Gordon Low Products take Health and Safety very seriously which is why we developed the SAFELOAD stand, and have asked Stonehardy Ltd to contact all of our Safeload stand customers to ensure the equipment is being maintained in the best possible condition. All of our SAFELOAD customers have been sent details of the offer made by StoneHardy Ltd and we have also asked StoneHardy Ltd to contact our customers directly to offer their services. We think this is a very good offer and would be very surprised if you can get your LOLER testing for less. When contacting StoneHardy, tell them Gordon Low Products sent you and that you have been advised of the offer.... ********

New Lake Lining showcase entries illustrate the work of WaterLands Productions Ltd. Created by Anthony Archer-Wills and Bryan Hirst, WaterLands Productions Ltd, based in Kent, are experienced specialists in the design, construction, restoration, repair and development of all forms of ornamental water features including ponds, lakes, and their associated landscapes. Both of these substantial installations comprised multiple large prefabricated Butyl Lake Liner panels, joined on site using our Hot Bond Site Welding System. In the first example,( Barcombe, Sussex) you can clearly see the major constructional stages involved, beginning with initial excavation, then underliner drainage, Geotextile liner protection, Butyl Lake Liner panels positioned and site welded, water filling and in this case a brick built hard edging to the pond. We think you will agree, a very effective design and quality installation for a stunning location. ********

This installation consisted of several 1mm EPDM Lake Liner Panels joined on site using the Firestone QuickSeam™ System. ********

- Calling all SAFELOAD mechanical roll stand users. Is your LOLER inspection due? Now that our mechanical roll stands have been in use for over a year we felt it appropriate to remind all owners/users of our SAFELOAD mechanical roll stands that a yearly LOLER inspection may be due and have added a LOLER page to the website explaining what LOLER is. - 29/07/09 - We have added a Greenseal page to the website. We thought it relevant to explain some of the virtues of EPDM rubber over the long term favourite Butyl rubber. Now that production levels of our Greenseal EPDM liners have well surpassed our Butyl requirements, we no longer produce Butyl liners for stock, (only available to order now). We are pleased the majority of our customers have welcomed the competative price advantage that Greenseal 0.75mm EPDM offers in the high quality liner market. - 9/07/09 -
