Phosphorus Removal Reed Bed System – ARM Group Project
In September 2024, ARM Group Ltd installed a phosphorus removal reed bed at a Severn Trent Water site. This engineered wetland was designed to remove phosphorus (P) from wastewater efficiently, combining natural processes with advanced engineering. The phosphorus removal reed bed improves water quality while supporting long-term sustainability.
The system functions as a constructed wetland, where plants and microbial activity naturally filter phosphorus from the water. This reduces nutrient pollution, protects ecosystems, and helps meet regulatory compliance. The high-quality liner, supplied by us, ensures durability and reliable performance, while ARM Group Ltd carried out the installation to exacting standards.
By integrating nature-based treatment with engineered design, the phosphorus removal reed bed demonstrates how sustainable water management can be achieved without compromising efficiency. The system helps Severn Trent Water maintain cleaner waterways while meeting water quality standards.
This project highlights how collaboration between liner suppliers and expert installers can deliver effective phosphorus removal. ARM Group Ltd’s expertise in engineered wetlands, combined with our durable liner, provides a reliable and sustainable solution for long-term water quality improvement.
